I believe beautiful photographs come from how a day feels, not how it’s made to look.
My approach is calm and unobtrusive. I’m there to guide when needed, and to quietly observe when that’s what the moment calls for — with care, intention, and respect for the pace of your day.

“Sam perfectly captured our wedding day and we are obsessed with our wedding photos. She brought such a warm, calm presence to our day and we loved having her there for every moment. We still look back on our wedding (and engagement shoot) photos so often and we are so glad we invested in them and chose Sam - she really is incredible at capturing all of the genuine emotions of the day. She was wonderful to deal with from day one of contacting her and cannot recommend her highly enough”

"Couldn't recommend Sam more! Sam photographed my brother and sister in laws wedding, and when it came time for my partner and I to choose our own, we didn't give it a second thought - Sam's photos are so gorgeous and natural.
We are absolutely obsessed with our photos and are so grateful for such beautiful, special moments on our day were caught by Sam's amazing eye. Besides being an amazing photographer, Sam is the exact kind of person you would want with you on your wedding day - kind, relaxed and fun - the best!"

"We were so lucky to book Sam as our photographer for our wedding.
My husband and I do not naturally feel comfortable in front of the camera but Sam was super professional and casual, made us feel at ease and we did not feel awkward or pressured in the very least. And yet for how easy it was, we have the most beautiful wedding photographs we could've imagined receiving - from the event, with each other, with our friends and family.
We are so in love with them. They are both timeless and contemporary and romantic"

I’m based on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, NSW. I photograph weddings across Sydney and throughout Australia, and I’m always open to travel. I’m happy to share a clear outline of travel costs depending on your location.

I started out assisting on weddings in 2014, just after finishing my Visual Arts degree (majoring in Photomedia at SCA). I photographed my first wedding in 2015 for a close friend who trusted me completely and gave me the freedom to capture the day as it naturally unfolded.
Since then, I’ve been shooting weddings for over a decade, and I still love it just as much.

As a photographer, I work independently, however I do offer the option of a second shooter. I usually recommend this for weddings over 100.

Absolutely. I believe everyone should love whoever they choose to love. I had the special privilege of capturing my first LGBTQ+ couple shortly after it was legally recognized in Australia in 2017.

Most definitely. I think it's really important to choose vendors who have a similar style/approach on the day so we don't step on each other's toes. We also want you to have the best day possible and that is made easier when your team wants to have fun with you on the day too.

A major part of what makes a good wedding photographer is being able to think on your feet. I love discovering new venues. I'll always make decisions for photo locations based on the current season, the weather, the state of the greenery at a location, and what the sun is doing at that time of day.

No matter how invested you are in weather forecasting, we really cannot predict the weather.
Depending how wet it is, I will always try to make the most of every opportunity to get portraits outside. Umbrellas are a must - white or clear are preferred. Overcast days are actually ideal for portraits as the lighting is even and glowy.

I have a print lab connected to the online galleries I send my clients. It makes it very easy for friends and family to print directly from the gallery.
