Hi, I’m Sam.

I'm what you'd call a life romantic. Curious about most things and enthusiastic about almost everything (except maybe sports).

I'm a mum to a seven-year-old boy and we live on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. If a friend was describing me, they'd say I'm bright and a little chaotic, spontaneous, adventurous, a deep feeler who genuinely connects with the people around her. Photography is the lens I look through my life.

As a teenager I'd bring a video camera on camping trips, to the old cinema, out into the paddocks with my friends. I've always had this compulsion to document the world around me. I read something recently that really resonated: the idea of finding evocative ways of interpreting the real world, and connecting people by sharing their stories.

That's exactly why I do this. I'm genuinely interested in you. What makes you light up, how you spend your time, the way you look at the people you love. I'm not there to choreograph you, I'm there to capture you exactly as you are.
