Hi, I’m Sam.
My parents named me Samantha, but I've always just been Sam.
I'm what you'd call a life romantic. I leave the house each morning genuinely more curious than I was the day before, and I move through the world with a kind of cautious optimism, sometimes to a fault.
I'm a mum to a seven-year-old boy, who is honestly my little bestie.
We live in Freshwater, a short walk from the beach, and I wouldn't have it any other way. The Northern Beaches isn't just where I live, it's part of my lifestyle. Most mornings I'm active, I'm a regular at the sauna, I'll always say yes to dinner somewhere good, and at any given time there's probably a crime thriller or a romantic comedy on my bedside table.
If a friend was describing me, they'd say I'm bright and a little chaotic—spontaneous, adventurous, a deep feeler who genuinely connects with the people around her.
Photography is quite literally the lens I look through my life. I've always had this compulsion to document things—as a teenager I'd bring a video camera on camping trips, to the old cinema, and out into the paddocks with my friends. I didn't know it then, but the freedom I felt being creative with my friends—I think that was always going to shape my life.
